Company Director: John Scott
John, from Portsmouth UK, completed his advanced scaffolder training in 1987, working as a chargehand on many varied scaffolding projects including commercial, residential, as well as marine. He holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding along with a Site Safe Gold Card. John has worked on a variety of commerical projects including; Auckland Hospital, Sky City Convention Centre, University of Auckland Business School, Stamford Plaza, and Eden Park.

Bruce began his scaffolding career, in 1986, in Sydney, Australia at the time working predominantly on high-rise construction. He completed a Scaffolding Class 1 Certificate of Competency NSW and also holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding along with a Site Safe Gold Card. Bruce has been involved with numerous activities and various residential, commercial, as well as petrochemical projects; Marsden Point Oil Refinery, Portland Cement, Fonterra House, Princes Street and Mt Eden Prison, and Bruce has also worked on several film industry sets such as Xena and Hercules.

Tam Ross – Summit Contracts Manager

Tam Ross has twenty two years plus industry experience in all aspects of contracting. Tam is a UK Advanced Scaffolder and holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.

Andrew Russell – Auckland Branch Supervisor

With 13 years in the Scaffolding Industry, Andrew Russell holds advanced scaffolding level 5 in New Zealand and in Australia. Andrew started in the scaffolding industry in 2006 at Pacific Scaffolding where he was promoted to a leading hand a within one year. From 2006 until 2012 while working for this company Andrew was involved in light commercial, residential, plus large construction projects in NZ.

Advanced scaffolder leading hand, residential, light commercial, petrochemical, film and marine.
2014 – 2016
Andrew moved to Perth and
gained advanced 5 ticket, and
worked on mining sites as a leading hand supervisor.

2018 – 2019 Mine site maintenance supervising shut down’s throughout Pilbara.

Gary Pearson – Commercial Supervisor

Gary has in excess of 30 years scaffolding experience gained in the UK and worldwide. He is an Advanced Scaffolder and holds a Site Safe Gold Card.

Gary’s experience is vast.

Ian Braithwaite – Safety Manager

Ian has worked in the scaffolding industry for over 30 years in the UK and NZ. He holds a UK advanced scaffolders card, SARNZ suspended/advanced card and a Site safe gold card. Ian gained his UK qualifications at the Civil Engineering College, Bircham Newton and worked in England’s Lake District on residential and commercial projects from 1990-1999.

Ian moved to New Zealand in 1999 and joined Pacific Scaffolding where he worked on numerous projects as site foreman including: AUT, Auckland Hospital, PWC Tower, Eden Park redevelopment (RWC 2011) Film/TV sets. After spending time working in the South Island (Canterbury and Otago) Ian joined Summit Scaffolding in April 2014 and was site foreman on large projects including: TVNZ redevelopment Fonterra HQ Auckland prison (Paremoremo) NZICC

He became health and safety manager in March 2019, this roll includes the safety and welfare of over 100 scaffolders and regular audits of all current projects.

Nu’u Tanielu – Summit Yard Foreman

Nu’u started in the scaffolding industry with Pacific Scaffolding working on a range of projects, then joined Summit Scaffolding in 2010 as Site Foreman. Nu’u holds a New Zealand Advanced Scaffolder Certificate and has a Site Safe Gold Card.

He is a highly valued member of our team and has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry.

Lee Buckley – Scaffold Design Engineer

Lee started in the Scaffold Industry as a Yard operative in 1996 with Crest Scaffolding in Manchester UK.

Over the next ten years while employed by Crest he underwent training up to advanced level which he achieved on 2001. In 2007 he began his training as an Engineer.
In 2010 he became a qualified Engineer. Lee formed Buckley Design Solutions in 2011 until present. Summit Scaffolding Scaffold Design Engineer. 2019 – Present
